Un joven adulto que se encontraba trabajando en el barco mir\u00f3 a la Hermana Ciria y la reconoci\u00f3. \"Me acuerdo de usted\", dijo. \"Usted bautiz\u00f3 a mi hijo\". Ella tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda bautizado a otros miembros de la familia. Los dos charlaron, recordando las celebraciones, poni\u00e9ndose al d\u00eda. Su hijo ya tiene ocho a\u00f1os.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Lo extraordinario de este momento fue lo ordinario de la situaci\u00f3n. Un padre y una hermana religiosa recordando con cari\u00f1o la celebraci\u00f3n bautismal que recibi\u00f3 a su hijo en la fe cat\u00f3lica. Fue la m\u00e1s ordinaria de las conversaciones en un lugar extraordinario: la Amazonia, donde se han desatado los dones espirituales de las mujeres y donde obispos, sacerdotes, religiosas y laicos\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); En esta parte del mundo donde hay pocos sacerdotes, y con el permiso de su obispo, Cira ha bautizado a m\u00e1s de 1.300 ni\u00f1os y adultos. Que la Iglesia cat\u00f3lica est\u00e9 presente y pueda acompa\u00f1ar a la gente en estas comunidades se debe en gran medida a los esfuerzos de mujeres como Ciria, que han desafiado todo tipo de condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas para viajar en barco o para montar campamentos en las comunidades donde se viaja por caminos de tierra en coche. Mientras estuve all\u00ed, visitamos algunas comunidades: La Esperanza, San Juan del Urucu, San Juan Km 27 y San Crist\u00f3bal. En la comunidad m\u00e1s grande viv\u00edan unas tres mil personas. La m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a ten\u00eda 16 familias.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 Escuchar a los miembros de la comunidad es uno de los puntos fuertes de Ciria. Escuchamos a las madres, los padres y los abuelos que fueron los primeros en llegar mientras esper\u00e1bamos a que otros se unieran a nosotros. Una vez, un grupo de ni\u00f1as de 5 a\u00f1os se deleit\u00f3 ense\u00f1\u00e1ndome sus juegos. Cuando se reuni\u00f3 un n\u00famero suficiente de personas, unas 30, Ciria <\/span><span style=\"background-color: var( --e-global-color-26bb8c7 ); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size );\">presidi\u00f3 la<\/span><span style=\"background-color: var( --e-global-color-26bb8c7 ); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size );\"> liturgia cat\u00f3lica de la palabra con la comuni\u00f3n. Cantamos himnos populares. Los miembros de la comunidad, a menudo j\u00f3venes, se turnaban como lectores. En varias ocasiones, Ciria me invit\u00f3 a ofrecer la reflexi\u00f3n del Evangelio. Despu\u00e9s, las comunidades compart\u00edan galletas, empanadas o un jugo de frutas casero hecho con cualquiera de las muchas variedades de \u00e1rboles frutales que crecen en los alrededores. Los alumnos de confirmaci\u00f3n de una comunidad quer\u00edan que les ense\u00f1ara palabras en ingl\u00e9s mientras yo practicaba algunas palabras en su lengua ind\u00edgena ancestral. Una vez fuimos en busca de \u00e1rboles de almendra altos, ya que las almendras son un cultivo de exportaci\u00f3n clave en la regi\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\">En la Amazonia, el liderazgo se forma desde la base; cada comunidad de fe busca identificar un animador\/a y un catequista para preparar a los miembros de la comunidad para sacramentos como el bautismo, la primera comuni\u00f3n y la confirmaci\u00f3n. Ciria s\u00f3lo puede ir a la comunidad una o dos veces al a\u00f1o y un sacerdote con menos frecuencia, por lo que el papel del animador y el catequista laicos es fundamental para mantener una comunidad de fe rural. El instituto ayuda proporcionando formaci\u00f3n de fe continua a estos l\u00edderes. Tras nueve a\u00f1os de servicio y acompa\u00f1amiento, Ciria ha regresado recientemente a su Brasil natal para completar un programa de m\u00e1ster en teolog\u00eda.
