Su testimonio se convirti\u00f3 en un espejo para mi propia oraci\u00f3n. \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 aspectos de mi vida a\u00fan dudaba de creer que Dios realmente me ve\u00eda? \u00bfQu\u00e9 rincones ocultos estaba Cristo invitando a salir a la luz?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He pasado gran parte de este verano escuchando a los miembros de la comunidad Discerning Deacons, y he o\u00eddo ecos de Fotina una y otra vez. En conversaciones con personas de todo el pa\u00eds, he escuchado historias de vocaciones reafirmadas, duelos superados, amistades forjadas, esperanzas renovadas y valent\u00eda inesperada descubierta. Una y otra vez, la gente ha compartido momentos en que Dios se acerc\u00f3 y les revel\u00f3 algo que a\u00fan no hab\u00edan visto en s\u00ed mismos ni en la Iglesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esas conversaciones me han recordado que la revelaci\u00f3n rara vez es una experiencia solitaria. Dios nos encuentra en una relaci\u00f3n personal, nos llama por nuestro nombre y luego nos env\u00eda de vuelta a la comunidad como testigos.  Fotina deja su c\u00e1ntaro y regresa a sus vecinos con buenas noticias. Se convierte en una de las primeras evangelistas del Evangelio de Juan, tras haber encontrado a Aquel que la conoce por completo y la sigue amando.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando la gente describe el trabajo de Discerning Deacons, escucho ciertas palabras que se repiten con notable frecuencia: alegr\u00eda, reflexi\u00f3n y fidelidad. Estas cualidades se sustentan en el rigor teol\u00f3gico, la sabidur\u00eda pastoral, la escucha activa y la convicci\u00f3n de que el Esp\u00edritu Santo sigue revelando nuevas posibilidades para la Iglesia a trav\u00e9s de los dones del pueblo de Dios. Nuestra alegr\u00eda no es un optimismo ingenuo, sino una esperanza vivida en comunidad, incluso en medio de la incertidumbre. Estos valores se renuevan cada vez que se comparten, cada vez que iluminan el llamado de otra persona a participar en la obra renovadora de Dios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ese esp\u00edritu de testimonio compartido es la esencia de nuestra celebraci\u00f3n de la Fiesta de Santa Febe.
