Report from Rome with Dr. Cynthia Bailey Manns

Join us as we welcome Dr. Cynthia Bailey Manns for her Report from Rome. She will share her experience and stories from the historic synod assembly and help us understand where this is going in the next eleven months. Additionally, Cynthia is excited to share with us particularly about the themes of rethinking women’s participation and also renewing a diaconate for a synodal and missionary church. There will be a presentation and a chance for some Q&A.

Cynthia Bailey Manns, D. Min. was one of five laypeople from the United States who participated as voting members at the Synod on Communion, Participation, and Mission in Rome this past October. She made history as she took part in the first synod to have lay men and women serve as voting delegates alongside cardinals, bishops, priests, and deacons.

We can’t wait to hear the highlights and to learn from her wisdom and experience!
