Discerning Deacons le da esperanza a la Iglesia. Las mujeres ordenadas son fundamentales y necesarias. Las mujeres laicas y las monjas ya hacen el trabajo de los diáconos en todo el mundo. La sanción oficial de la Iglesia (ordenación) sólo confirmaría lo que ya está sucediendo.

El cincuenta por ciento de las voces de la Iglesia no se escuchan desde el púlpito. Esto frustra la labor del Espíritu Santo. La Iglesia está mal atendida a causa de ello.

En 2019, escribí una carta a todos los obispos de Estados Unidos haciendo referencia a la necesidad de la ordenación de mujeres. No hubo respuesta. Ahora, a través de Discerning Deacons, está habiendo un fuerte impulso.

Hace un par de años oí hablar de Casey y Ellie del Apostolado y Comunidad de Discerning Deacons y desde entonces he participado en sus reuniones de Zoom.
