Imagine a Church that has reimagined women’s participation—perhaps with women preaching more frequently, exercising active roles in decision making at every level of governance, or serving as deacons. What difference would such a Church make in your life and the lives of those you love? As we see throughout Scripture, personal testimony is a powerful tool of evangelization.
For women planning or considering offering a public witness as a part of a St. Phoebe Day celebration, you are invited to join Discerning Deacons for the first session of our Woman Witness Deepening Formation Series. This session will prepare attendees to draw on their own personal faith experiences to convey the significance of St. Phoebe Day to those assembled. Whether you have been asked by your pastor to offer a Word on Phoebe Day, are part of a St. Phoebe Day planning team discerning how best to celebrate women’s gifts for ministry at your event, or are simply looking to brush up on your own ability to speak powerfully to the significance of rethinking women’s participation in the Church, this session is for you.
