From Discernment to Implementation: Women’s Participation and Leadership in the Church

Join us for a timely virtual conversation on where we are — and where we are being called — as a Church growing in co-responsibility for mission.

Together, we will explore the Final Report from Study Group 5, “On Women’s Participation in the Life and Leadership of the Church,” and consider the concrete pathways it offers for implementation across the global Church. Panelists will reflect on signs of hope already emerging, the structural and cultural obstacles that remain, and the opportunities before us as Catholics discern how to more fully embody a synodal Church.

Featuring Colleen Dulle, Vatican correspondent for America Magazine and co-host of the Inside the Vatican podcast, whose reporting has helped Catholics around the world better understand the Synod and the Church’s ongoing discernment around women’s leadership; and Sr. Mumbi Kigutha, a Kenyan-born Sister of the Precious Blood, writer for Global Sisters Report, and international leader in justice, reconciliation, and synodal dialogue. 

Grounded in prayer, listening, and the movement of the Holy Spirit, this conversation will help participants better understand the current moment in the Church’s discernment — and the work still ahead.
