Relational 1-1s in a Synodal Key

This training is for leaders in the Discerning Deacons network seeking to build out their toolkit for powerful protagonism in a synodal church.

The training will provide participants an experiential introduction to the art of the relational one-on-one encounter (or relational 1-1), a fundamental building block of faith-based community organizing and a powerful tool for growing cultures of synodality in our communities. The relational 1-1 is a key skill for us to build meaningful and powerful relationships and, in turn, to take effective and relational action in our communities, rooted in mutuality, reverence, and listening.

The training will include presented material as well as opportunities for participants to practice the skills taught and a call to action to put their new skills into practice.
