JOIN US FOR “SCHOOL OF THE HEART” THIS EASTER SEASON!
Deepen your faith through synodal dialogue and encounter
This Easter season, young adults from the Discerning Deacons network invite you to participate in “School of the Heart,” a seven-week journey exploring Pope Francis’ encyclical on the Sacred Heart, Dilexit Nos.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE:
- Learn and practice “Conversations in the Spirit,” a foundational methodology for synodality
- Hear inspiring faith reflections on the Sacred Heart by members of the 2024-2025 global Synod assembly, including Helena Jeppesen-Spuhler (Switzerland), Dr. Cynthia Bailey Manns (US), Julia Osęka (Poland), and Sheila Pires (Mozambique)
- Engage in transformational encounters with fellow participants during this season of resurrection
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Virtually: Join our online gatherings on Thursdays (12-1 p.m. ET) from April 24 to June 5 as an individual or with your group
- In Your Community: Receive materials to host the series locally with your own group
During this Jubilee Year of Hope, and with the Synod’s implementation phase extended until 2028, “School of the Heart” provides an opportunity to come together in prayer and transformational encounter. Jesus’ Sacred Heart offers us a roadmap to living in the active hope of the Gospel, even in the midst of great fear and suffering. Join us as we grow as a synodal people and seek to discern the will of the Holy Spirit for the Church today.
